Welcome to The Lamp Theatre

The Lamp Theatre Corporation is a 501c3 not for profit corporation dedicated to provide the Greater Irwin community with quality performing arts, concerts, cinematic performances, and cultural events. The renovation project of the theatre was the largest volunteer effort in the history of Irwin. Now nearly completed, we turn our attention towards the planned courtyard, and performing arts center in the adjacent lot.  Although conceptual drawings have been completed, we are far from the estimated $200,000 needed for the courtyard and estimated $1,500,000 needed for the performing arts center. We hope you will continue to support the Lamp Theatre as a volunteer and/or donor to help us reach our goals. Upon completion, the theatre’s courtyard will provide additional venue options, and unique programming opportunities. Our performing arts facility will provide space to expand our education program with classrooms, recital space, set design facilities, meeting rooms, rehearsal space, and much needed backstage facilities. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you at The Lamp Theatre.

    Forever Plaid

    7:30PM & 2:00PM/ $15/$12 The Lamp Theatre
    BUY TICKETS

Forever Plaid is an affectionate musical homage to the close-harmony 'guy groups' that reached the height of their popularity during the 1950s. This quartet of high-school chums, and their earnest dreams of recording an album, ended (symbolically, and even literally) in death, when their cherry red '54 Mercury collided with a bus filled with Catholic schoolgirls on their way to see the Beatles' American debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. The girls were fine. The play begins with the wondrous and wondering Plaids returning from the afterlife for one final chance at musical glory.plaid

"UNLESS someone like you...cares a whole awful
lot...nothing is going to get better...It's not." Long before
saving the earth became a global concern, Dr. Seuss,
speaking through his character the Lorax, warned against
mindless progress and the danger it posed to the earth's
natural beauty. His classic cautionary tale is brought to
technicolor life on stage by the Books Come Alive players
and is a perfect assembly production for grades K-8.

For The Outlaws, it was always about the music. For 40 years, the Southern Rock legends celebrated triumphs, endured tragedies and survived legal nightmares to remain one of the most influential and best-loved bands of the genre. Now The Outlaws return with new music, new focus and an uncompromising new mission: It’s about a band of brothers bound together by history, harmony and the road. It’s about a group that respects its own legacy while refusing to be defined by its past. But most of all, it’s about pride.
